I agree with you on that. It is a waste of time. It was intended for friends to be able to contact other friends, even ones they have not seen in a while. It did come in handy for that on occassion. Now it has become more of a dating place and somewhere to meet other people. I personaly think it is immature as well. I cancelled my myspace after only a few weeks. Glad to hear someone thinks of it the way I do.

You know it's not really my favorite thing either, but I think the draw is that you can customize the page to look anyway you like and that you can keep track of a lot of friends there and find friends from all over with similiar interests.

There's lots of different ways to do the same thing, but once you land on something you like and know how to use then you tend to stay with it. I think that is the draw.

Look, I've said it before and I say now, and I'll say it tomorrow. People are stupid. People don't have brains to think with on their own -well, they do but they don't use them anyway- but get a bunch of people to do something and the next day you'll have millions of people doing the same thing. People like to imitate, that's all. There's really nothing special about myspace. Nothing at all. But it's just like Starbuck's or whatever, people flock there even though it's just another coffee place. Once people see others do something, they just follow like sheep. They don't even know why.
