It's a good way to connect with classmates, old friends, and family. You can share your pictures, write blogs about what you are currently doing ect..The reason it's so popular is because its FREE, unlike other sites like classmates.com.

It can be dangerous if you use in incorrectly. There are privacy settings that allows no one but your friends see you page. Also, you can fill in a false location,age,name if you are scared of someone finding you.

It's an on-line community for people to message each other and show pictures and music. Kinda like Yahoo's 360, but broken and unreliable!!!! It's fun for a while, but the joy quickly fades!!! You end up getting loads of spam!!!!! 360's far better!!

i agree myspace is popular but unless you know some xhtml code the layouts aren't great and by the way on myself page I've falsified my name and that works to my advantage as people don't recognize me from former school or former X's and such so yeah myspace is OK but the layout part just isn't my cup of tea

Well most people like myspace because it's an easy way to meet, talk to people, etc... but there are also so many fake people as well. like for example a little geeky kid may pretend to be Ronnie Coleman (2005 Mr. Olympia I Think) or some other people as well. and they like to comment, view other peoples sites, make your own site, show your videos, etc...
